Ponton (Tyršovo nábrežie)
Ľubomír Gašpar feat. Adam Ben Ezra & NANOVO ensemble
Change of venue! Due to the forecast of rain in the evening, today’s concert will take place in the Ponton (Tyršovo nábrežie). Thank you for your understanding.
The Slovak dulcimer player and double bassist Ľubomír Gašpar is a classically trained musician who commands a variety of genres, from classical music through jazz to world music. Holder of a Radio-Head Award for his album The Point of View, he collaborates with elite artists at home and abroad in a variety of music fields (Roby Lakatos Ensemble, SOLE, Manuša, Ľubomír Gašpar Cimbal Project). Multi-genre orientation is reflected also in his compositions, which are therefore extremely colourful and diverse. At the concert he will present the dulcimer as a unique solo instrument, full of contrasts and colours, accompanied by the outstanding NANOVO Ensemble string orchestra, conducted by Karolína Krigovská. “This programme has been created specially for Viva Musica! festival. It was my desire to play at this festival, and I look forward to it all the more because it means playing together with the phemonenal double bassist and multi-instrumentalist Adam Ben Ezra on the festival’s 20th anniversary,” Ľubomír Gašpar explained. “Collaborating with Ľubomír Gašpar at the Viva Musica! festival in Bratislava is a true joy for me. I’m thrilled to explore the rich connection between our musical worlds, and I believe our collaboration will bring a unique and memorable experience to the audience,” Adam Ben Ezra added.
