Daniš, Janoška, Karvay, Kuschnir & Orchester Viva Musica!

The closing concert of the 20th annual Viva Musica! festival will be performed by four violin virtuosos. Three outstanding violinists, representing Slovakia’s finest master musicians of the younger generation, will appear together on one podium: Dalibor Karvay, Karol Daniš and Ondrej Janoška. Joining them will be their teacher, Professor Boris Kuschnir, for a first-ever joint performance. Boris Kuschnir is by now a legend as professor of violin playing, and some of the world’s star violinists have developed under his guidance, including Julian Rachlin, Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider, Alexandra Soumm, and the currently emerging star María Dueñas. Equally, the abundant activity and success of his Slovak graduates testify to Boris Kuschnir’s powerful influence as a teacher. All three are engaged in solo and chamber music projects, and each of them has linked his career with a leading formation: Dalibor Karvay is a concert master in the Wiener Symphoniker orchestra, Karol Daniš also is a concert master in the Grazer Philharmoniker / Oper Graz orchestra, and Ondrej Janoška is a member of the world-famed Janoska Ensemble. „I’m very happy that on August 15th a very interesting concert will take place in which three of my previous students, who are now already very famous, will participate. I’m very happy that I’ll be performing alongside with them at this very special concert,“ said Prof. Kuschnir. At Viva Musica! festival they will present an exclusive programme comprising works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Henryk Wieniawski, Franz Waxman and other composers for solo violin and two and four violins, with accompaniment by the Viva Musica! Orchestra.
