Vengerov & Osetinskaya: Masterclass

The recital by the world-famed violinist Maxim Vengerov, with pianist Polina Osetinskaya, is a red-letter day for our festival. We are all the more delighted that their visit to Bratislava will also include master performance courses, designed for young violinists and pianists. For participants in these courses, this will be an exceptional occasion enabling them to gain valuable experience, advice and inspiration directly from these outstanding artists. Do not miss this unique opportunity!

The master courses will run in parallel from 10:00 do 12:30 in DVORANA Concert Hall (violin) and Small Concert Hall (piano) at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (Zochova 1). Simultaneous interpretation to Slovak will be provided. For active participants, classrooms will be made available for warming up.

The master courses are designed both for active and passive participants, and are also open to the broad public. Admission to the event is free (until the hall’s capacity is filled). In the event of the hall’s capacity being filled, the organiser reserves the right to deny admission to the event.

We reserve the right to change the programme and performers.

Registration for active participation in the master classes ended on June 30, 2024.

Conditions for registration:

  • student of violin playing / piano playing
  • age up to 30 years
  • sending proposals for three studied pieces, of which one composition will be chosen for a master lesson
  • sending at least one reference recording in the form of a video passage
  • sending a short profile of the applicant
  • if required, providing the applicant’s own accompanist

In cooperation with Sinfonietta Bratislava and Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava.
