She has appeared on leading opera stages including Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Opéra national de Paris, Wiener Staatsoper, and Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, and has collaborated with major conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Gustavo Dudamel, Fabio Luisi, Juraj Valčuha, Vladimir Jurowski, and Nikolaus Harnoncourt. She received particular acclaim for her portrayal of the title role in Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen at the Opéra Bastille in Paris. In 2024, she also performed this role at the Slovak National Theatre in an internationally acclaimed production directed by Sláva Daubnerová and conducted by Juraj Valčuha. She has repeatedly appeared alongside world-renowned tenor Plácido Domingo in gala concerts in Slovakia and abroad.
At the Viva Musica! festival, Adriana previously performed alongside Pavol Breslik in the West Side Story concert marking the 100th anniversary of Leonard Bernstein’s birth, as well as in a solo recital with pianist Marian Lapšanský. This time, she will appear with the French Thymos Ensemble under the direction of violinist Gabriel Richard (Orchestre de Paris, Thymos Quartet).
“I first met the Thymos Ensemble many years ago in Paris, when we recorded an album of songs by Antonín Dvořák together with Christoph Eschenbach. We later performed together at the Fougères Musicales festival, and I am very much looking forward to performing again with these exceptional musicians – this time at the Viva Musica! festival”, said Adriana Kučerová. Their programme is dedicated to the music of Leoš Janáček, Bohuslav Martinů, Antonín Dvořák, Claude Debussy, and Gustav Mahler.
Adriana Kučerová is a recipient of the Tatra Bank Foundation Award for Art.
