Ukrainian soprano Liubov Ostrovska is among the remarkable young talents of the emerging generation of opera singers. She studied at the Conservatory in Lviv and at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava under the guidance of Peter Mikuláš. She currently continues her studies with the legendary Bulgarian soprano and renowned pedagogue Raina Kabaivanska in Modena, Italy. Liubov is a laureate of several international competitions, where she has captivated audiences with her exceptional musicality, technical assurance, and expressive depth. In 2025, she performed at the Bulgarian National Opera in Sofia, and in March 2026 she also appeared as a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Performing Arts under the baton of Ondrej Olos in the Concert Hall of the Slovak Philharmonic.
At her song recital within the Viva Musica! festival, taking place on 12 July 2026 at the Synagogue in Senec, she will present a selection of songs and arias by Antonín Dvořák, Myroslav Skoryk, Gioachino Rossini, Gaetano Donizetti, and Giacomo Puccini. “In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it is rare to find a moment for something profound and beautiful. It is a joy for me to be part of the Viva Musica! festival and to share music with you,” added Liubov Ostrovska. Her piano partner for the evening will be Slovak pianist Jana Nagy-Juhász.
The concert is part of the festival series #NextGeneration.
