Founded in 2022 under the guidance of Slovak Philharmonic violist Martin Ruman, the ensemble has quickly become one of the most promising young chamber groups in Slovakia. The quartet was born out of friendship and a shared desire to create music together.
The members of Rumi Quartet are laureates of several international competitions and have attended masterclasses led by renowned chamber ensembles such as Zemlinsky Quartet and V4 Quartet. Their performances have captivated audiences not only in Slovakia, but also in Austria, Germany, and at the Young Euro Classic festival in Berlin.
At this concert, they will present a programme featuring works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Antonín Dvořák, and Eugen Suchoň. “Viva Musica! – long live music, and in our case, long live chamber music! We are delighted that through our performance we can contribute to the diversity of the festival and bring the joy of chamber music to its audience,” said the members of Rumi Quartet.
Come and enjoy a summer evening filled with outstanding music and the unique atmosphere of the Modra Manor House courtyard.
The concert is part of the festival series #NextGeneration.
