A novelty of the 19th annual Viva Musica! festival is chamber concerts in city gardens and parks, subtitled Musical Gardens. The title evokes the initial year of the festival, 2005, when it was held under the title Musical Gardens of Bratislava, and also the successful concert series Music in the Park (everywhere), held in Janko Kráľ Park. On the first day of the holidays, in the magnificent spaces of the Liszt Garden, which is part of the University Library in Bratislava, the chamber orchestra Sinfonietta Bratislava will appear with three outstanding young soloists. The Polish-Slovak violinist Miriam Minková is a student of the Prague Conservatory and already, despite her youth, has some significant awards to her credit. She is a stipendiary of the Arkady Fomin Scholarship Fund, the Stadler-Trier Foundation, and the Talents of New Europe programme of the Central European Foundation and the Slovnaft firm. She has completed master courses led by Vadim Gluzman, Vadim Repin and Dalibor Karvay, and in 2021 she was also a finalist in the international television competitionVirtuosos V4+. The violinist Ferdinand Slezák is studying at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst inVienna. He is the holder of awards in several international competitions. He has completed master courses led by Julian Rachlin, Renaud Capuçon, Shlomo Mintz, Dalibor Karvay, Josef Špaček and the world-famed Midori, with whom he also appeared as soloist at a concert in Slovak Radio. The cellist Juraj Škoda is studying at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and is concurrently a member of the Orchestral Academy of Czech Philharmonic, in which context he has an opportunity to work with conductors and soloists of global prominence. As soloist he has performed with Wiener Stadtorchester, Bruno Walter Symphony Orchestra and Prague Conservatory Chamber Orchestra. Miriam, Ferdinand and Juraj will appear with the chamber orchestra Sinfonietta Bratislava, led by the violinist Pavel Bogacz jun., and will present works by Antonio Vivaldi, Joseph Haydn and Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
